EMS clinicians must focus on providing high-quality care for patients who are treated and released on scene. These patients often do not receive further clinical evaluation, making accurate assessment and documentation essential to prevent misdiagnosis and delayed treatment. Vital signs are the foundation of a thorough patient assessment which is why the National EMS Quality Alliance (NEMSQA) developed a quality measure focused on obtaining a full set of vital signs and mental status assessment for non-transported patients.

Join us as we learn how Aurora South Wisconsin EMS is successfully implementing a data- driven approach to improving care for non-transported patients. This was their capstone project for the NAEMSP Quality and Safety course.
