NEMSQA Measure Reports

The “2024 Measures Report - Enhancing Airway Management One Measure at a Time” is NEMSQA's inaugural annual measures reports. The report produced by the Measure Analysis and Research committee provides a first look at national performance on 6 airway measures using the the NEMSIS 2023 research dataset. 
The measures selected by the committee included four NEMSQ airway measures:
                  • Airway-01: Successful First Endotracheal Intubation Attempt without Hypotension and without Hypoxia 
                  • Airway-05: Adequate Oxygen Saturation Achieved Before Endotracheal Intubation Attempts
                  • Respiratory-01:Respiratory Assessment 
                  • Respiratory-02: Oxygen Administration for Hypoxia
and two measures developed by NEMSQA for the NASEMSO Prehospital Airway Evidence Based Guideline: 
                  • Airway 20: First Pass Invasive Airway Success  
                  • Airway: 24: Improvement in Hypoxia
